At Home is a well-known home décor store operating 275 outlets across 40 states. Their objective is to facilitate individuals in creating their dream homes. I’ll showcase the email design projects I’ve created as an in-house digital designer.

Reimagining a Core Email to Boost Engagement

One of my projects at At Home entailed redesigning the New Arrivals email template. This crucial email is sent to customers three times a month. The previous design lacked excitement and therefore had low click-through rates. My objective was to craft an email that caught the customer’s eye. To do that, I explored two possible directions.

Design process and Strategy

To begin the redesign process, I brainstormed keywords and created layout sketches. From there, I narrowed down to the two most promising directions and developed them digitally. We conducted A/B testing to determine which option performed the best. The email with a graphic arrow showed higher open and click-through rates.

Continued Success

The average click-through rate of At Home emails is 0.41%. However, the average click-through rate of the redesigned New Arrivals email is 0.61%, which is a 49% relative percentage increase. Additionally, this versatile email template can be quickly adapted for various sale events with simple color changes.
